ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is an engineered thermoplastic designed for maximum durability in outdoor environments. Although it shares mechanical similarities with the ABS, the ASA surpasses it thanks to its chemical structure that makes it immune to degradation by sunlight and adverse weather conditions.

Featured Properties

• UV Immunity: Unlike otros plastics that become brittle or lose color in the sun, ASA maintains its mechanical properties and original aesthetics even after years of direct exposure.

• Impact Resistance and Toughness: It has high mechanical strength and a great energy absorption capacity, which protects it against accidental blows or hail in outdoor applications.

• Thermal and Dimensional Stability: Its low shrinkage rate allows parts to be printed with excellent dimensional accuracy, ensuring that complex assemblies fit together perfectly.

• Low Odor Emission: It has been formulated to drastically reduce the strong odors typical of styrene during the printing process, improving the work experience in the workshop.

Printing Tips

• Post-processing: The ASA is compatible with acetone vaping, allowing parts to be smoothed for a completely smooth and shiny surface if the matte finish is not desired.
