It is made of a special steel alloy. The nozzle is incredibly hard, even at high temperatures, it does not soften. The nozzle is coated with a nickel coating to offer a fantastic balance between cost and wear resistance. The new WS2 nano coating no longer allows molten materials to adhere to the nozzle!

The X nozzle is the perfect combination of high temperature resistance and wear resistance. It has an internal geometry that offers fantastic flow behavior and has exactly the same geometry and compatibility as other E3D components
