PA12 + CF15 (Polyamide 12 reinforced with 15% carbon fiber) represents the pinnacle of technical filaments for engineering. Designed to replace metal components in critical applications, this material combines the chemical stability of Nylon 12 with the structural integrity of high-modulus carbon fiber.

Mechanical and Thermal Properties

• Exceptional Rigidity: Thanks to the carbon fiber reinforcement, the material features a superior tensile modulus, eliminating the flexibility common in standard plastics and allowing high mechanical loads without deformation.

• Advanced Thermal Resistance: Capable of withstanding thermal deflection temperatures (HDT) up to 170°C, making it suitable for under-the-hood environments in automotive or industrial machinery that generates constant heat.

• Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Offers comparable strength to aluminum alloys, but with significantly lower density, optimizing energy efficiency in mobile applications.

• Nozzle Temperature: 260°C – 290°C

• Bed Temperature: 80°C – 100°C

• Technical Note: The use of hardened steel or ruby nozzles is required, as carbon fiber is highly abrasive and will wear out brass nozzles in no time.
